It's incredibly hard to believe that in just a few months' time, I'll be a college graduate.
I still remember the excitement I felt when I made the decision to attend Utah State University, though it was far from where I ever thought I'd end up.
In fact, the summer between my junior and senior years of high school, my mom took Stephanie and I on a college tour. We flew out west, borrowed my grandma's car and visited BYU-Idaho. As we traveled south to visit BYU, my mom asked me if I'd like to stop at Utah State, my grandpa's alma mater. Having never previously heard of it, I told her I'd rather not waste my time.
I'm not sure what inspired me to eventually investigate USU, but I am sure that I fell in love. There seemed to be something different, something magical. The magic never died. I wouldn't trade my experiences here for anything.
I've been able to assume leadership positions, land amazing internships and gain confidence in my abilities. I met the man of my dreams, broadened my horizons and discovered what it meant to be me.
Perhaps most importantly, Utah State University taught me the importance of a good fit. When you're where you belong, the rest seems to fall into place. Now that I'm on the job hunt, the importance of finding that right fit is as critical as ever.
Dream job, I'm coming for you.
But, uh, dream job, where are you?
