When I became AP Stylebook-savvy in high school, I learned that the proper way to write "Web site" was just like that. I've spent hundreds of moments silently judging those who would write it as "website" and prided myself in my AP know-how.
Two and a half years later, I'm finally discovering I was unworthy of AP style snobdom.
Life: shattered into millions of pieces. Pride: on the floor, sitting next to my new 2011 AP Stylebook.
But hey, side note: even the Washington Post, who embraces AP style, makes mistakes every once in awhile...here are two from the last couple week's front pages:
Example #1: 2/3/12
Example #2: 2/3/12
Ahhhhh, the sweet, sweet satisfaction made possible by another's mistakes.
